FREE event. Sunday, December 6th, 3:00 PM - Kids Ornament Decorating, 6:00 PM - Lighting Festivities at St. Nicholas Park on the 135th Street Plaza (at St. Nicholas Avenue and 135th Street). Kick off the Holiday season with hot cocoa and cookies from T&J’s Bakery, the Performance from PS/MS 129 Choir and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Tamara Tunie of Law and Order! Take the B,C train to 135th Street and the plaza is right there at the station entrance. Above photo is that of an old victorian Christmas tree card. Love how candles were used before electric lights came about.

What a great event! The Friends really have put a lot of time and effort into making this a yearly favorite. Tamara Tunie performance was amazing and free! Can't wait until next year.
