☞ EAT: Sylvia's Delivers in February
For those who are craving their Southern fix and just can't muster up the energy to leave the house, your prayers have been answered.Harlem's famed Sylvia's restaurant has been receiving increased requests for home deliveries in the past year and, starting February, the public will get its wish. Seeing that take-out businesses are pretty standard for most restaurants, it's a wonder why Sylvia's hasn't branched out until now. Get more details in today's Daily News: LINK. Sylvia's is located 328 Lenox Avenue between 126th and 127th Street. Tel: 212-996-0660. The closest subway is the 2,3 train at 125th Street. Photo by Ulysses. www.sylviasrestaurant.com.

Now I understand from completely unsubstantiated information overheard on the number 7 bus that Sylvia’s is now owned by a consortium of Lebanese business men and that the quality of the food has plummeted; a group of Sylvia's staffers opened a place on the west side of Lennox between 127th and 128th the name of which escapes me that is The Real Deal.
ReplyDeleteAnd a partner of the new venture on Lenox Ave. is from Settepani, the same Lenox Ave. bakery, the plot thickens. In Sylvia’s defense, I have never been disappointed and it has always been a success when dining with visitors from downtown at Sylvia’s.
