☞ INTRODUCING: The Save P.S. 186 Petition

After the usual community board run about, historic P.S. 186 is still in its 24th year of limbo but a petition might be the answer to get the building protected from demolition. Various Community Board 9 committees have tried to save the building and have it removed from the ownership of the negligent M.L. Wilson Boys and Girls Club but internal politics seem to always get in the way. A group of concerned Hamilton Heights residents have now started a petition that will go directly to elected officials so that they can see just how many citizens really want to save this building. Anyone in NYC can raise their voice to this long standing issue of incompetence and neglect by going to the petition site and signing on: LINK.

The goal is 1,000 signatures so all concerned citizens need to get the word out. Get the full history on the tangled Harlem politics that have prevented a beloved neighborhood building from getting restored: LINK. Photo by Ulysses
