☞ READ: Inside Jumel Terrace Books
The blog called People for the Ethical Treatment of Typography recently spent some time at the Jumel Terrace book store and took photos of the amazing collection found within. It turns out the owner is a huge collector of African American literature and probably has one of the largest private collections. To see the library, one must rely on "serendipity or invitation." That is, make an appointment or stick your head in to see if it's open. The address is on 426 West 160th Street between St. Nicholas and Edgecomb Avenues. Tel. (212)928-9525. Take the C, 155 or 163rd Street. Website: jumelterracebooks.com or check out more of the photos on the PETT blog: LINK
