☞ SEE: The Row House Reborn at MCNY

Monday, February 8th, 6:30 PM at the Museum of the City of New York. Reservations Required. In the decades just before and after World War I, a group of architects, homeowners, and developers pioneered innovative and affordable housing alternatives. They converted the deteriorated and bleak row houses of old New York neighborhoods into modern and stylish dwellings. Join Andrew S. Dolkart, author of The Row House Reborn (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2009), as he traces this aesthetic movement from its inception in 1908 to a wave of projects for the wealthy on the East Side to the faux artists' studios for young professionals in Greenwich Village. Co-sponsored by the Historic Districts Council.

Reservation required plus admission fee: $12 Non-Members, $8 Seniors and Students, $6 Museum Members. See the details and purchase tickets on the MCNY site: LINK. The Museum of the City of New York is at 1220 Fifth Avenue, between 103rd and 104th Street. Nearest subway is the 6 train at 103rd Street or 2,3 at 110th Street.
