☞ WALK: Police Mobile Tower at Mt. Morris Park
Walking down Lenox we noticed the police rent-a-tower around 120th Street. There was a street robbery three weeks ago so maybe they are trying to make the area more secure. Our only issue with this tactic is that they are probably not going to catch any perpetrators this way since they would just steer clear of the area. If anything, just have more plain clothed policemen in the nabe or the regular kind would do. It's usually quiet in this part of town so maybe this is a tough wake up call for the authorities to keep things in check. Photo by Ulysses

Glad you saw it, too. Thought I was hallucinating.
ReplyDeleteLocal lore sez a nearby street I won’t name is a heroin block. Perhaps that is why it is there.
There was an incident here recently, teen shooting teen, the camera is probably for that. Permanent cameras would be a better solution, the city cannot put up too many cameras but individual home owners are free to place cameras outside their buildings and the police can use the home owner’s recordings in an investigation.
