☞ EAT: Dinosaur BBQ Set For Public Hearing
The new Dinosaur Bar-B-Que space on 125th Street and 12th Avenue is giving us a sense of deja vu. All the work is basically done on the building that will be the replacement home for the original eatery up the block but it seems that the paperwork might be holding things up. Folks in South Harlem might remember that the recently opened Italian restaurant Frizzante on FDB/8th Avenue sat in a complete finished state for months before it resolved all the red tape to get it open. Walking by the Dino warehouse last week, we noticed that there was a public hearing sign (click on photo to enlarge) that set a date up for April 14th. As a reader pointed out in our past post, getting that outdoor patio permit will be essential to the new location. The final bump might be all the underground infrastructure work being done out front of this location which could even delay an opening for a couple of months more. The original target debut date was back in fall 2009 and then it got pushed to April. Only time will tell but we are hopeful that all will work out by early summer. The nearest subway to this location is the 1 train at 125th Street. All photos by Ulysses

I wonder if restaurants in the West Village have to go through such nonsense and red tape.
ReplyDeleteWhy would they want to open with all of the constuction on the streets out front? Better to wait...
