Community Works, the Dwyer Cultural Center and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem proudly announce JAZZ @ the DWYER – a monthly series where jazz and dance meet! Kicking off the series in April is the Trinidadian-born Etienne Charles and his company of musicians who trumpet a mélange of styles. Immersed in the sounds of calypso, steel pan, and African Shango drumming, Etienne imbibes many of the influences that make up the colors of his Caribbean harmonic palette. An alumnus of the prestigious Juilliard School, Charles has received critical acclaim for his exciting performances, thrilling compositions and a knack for connecting with audiences worldwide.
