☞ REMEMBER: 58 East 125th Street circa 1910
There's an open lot at 58 East 125th Street, just three buildings east of the north corner of Madison, that had us wondering what was there originally. The archival photo from 1910 shows a four story structure with a mansard roof (far left) that apparently was on the lot until 2003. The sloped roof was deconstructed in more recent years but the building was pretty much intact until it was demolished about seven years ago. Today, the undeveloped property still sits on this section of East Harlem with no future plans in site. Vintage photo by NYPL. Current photo by Ulysses

That's been a vacant lot for at least 12 years. The bike repair guy on 124 street used to be there, before they cleared him out. This was supposed to be developed for the Marriot project (they were planning on putting an IHOP here), so that's probabaly where you're getting that '03 from.
