☞ REVIVE: What's Up with the 135th Station?

We noticed that the B,C uptown station on 135th Street recently had its teller booth removed. Is this part of the MTA budget cuts? That station on the east side of St. Nicholas Avenue leads up to the street corner with the abandoned lot and can be kind of sketchy at times. Let's hope they are just replacing the old one. Anyone have any info? Photos by Ulysses

  1. That station has been slated to have the teller removed for years. They probably just finally did it.

  2. From what I understand, teller booths are slated for removal all around the city on account of MTA budget cutbacks. I wouldn't say it relates to this station in particular -- more a sign of the times, a confluence of automation and austerity.
