End of summer is tomato season so check out all the different types available at Harlem's farmers market this Saturday. Marcus Samuelsson has been making rounds based on his twitter photos taken last week so look out for the celeb chef this weekend: LINK. Make sure all you folks check out the Mount Morris Park Historic District Market at 124th and 5th Avenue, the Morningside Farmers Market (for local caught fish!) at 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue and the 145th Street Farmers Market at Jackie Robinson Park's south side.

The Museum of the City of New York at the East Harlem side of Central Park (104th Street and 5th Avenue) has a great exhibit on Mayor John Lindsay and his legacy in 1960's New York City: LINK

  3. I went to the Mount Morris Park Market on Saturday and got some of the most delicious white peaches I have ever eaten in my life. Thanks for the suggestion! Your blog is helping me figure out my new neighborhood.

While I was over there, I noticed a church on 124th between 5th and 6th that is covered in vines, but seems to be the only building of its kind on that block, or in the area in general. What is going on with that?
