☞ REMEMBER: The Dress That Lena Wore
Harlem historian Michael Henry Adams has some great photos up of the Notorious and Notable exhibit on his Huffington Post blog: LINK. The show displays some of the great dresses that famous New York women have worn through the decades and the blue Lena Horne number is one of the knock-outs. Other famous gowns to look out for belonged to Jackie Onassis, A'lelia Walker and even Gypsy Rose Lee.
The Museum of the City of New York, located in East Harlem, is at 1220 Fifth Avenue, between 103rd and 104th Street. Nearest subway is the 6 train at 103rd Street or 2,3 at 110th Street. www.mcny.org.
