A reader mentioned that the facade at 14 East 125th Street has recently been removed and we have more details on what is actually going on for that commercial space. The top photo shows the building between 5th Avenue and Madison that has a furniture store to the right and an old beauty parlor to the left. That beauty parlor facade is the one shown at the lower photo which is currently getting demoed. There's a building permit up for a drinking and eating establishment and other DOB filings list the business as the Uptown Juice Bar 2. That might sound familiar since the original Uptown Juice Bar is just a block west on 125th and had recently filed for bankruptcy protection as reported by Crain's last month:
