☞ BESPOKE: The Street Etiquette New Blazer
The sartorial blazer that represented the 1930's has somewhat disappeared from the menswear vernacular today but has been making a comeback in recent years. Nowadays, the double breasted blazer can mostly be seen on a handful of trend setting young gentleman who wear them in updated silhouettes which include slightly shorter jacket lengths and a more tailored (fitted) aesthetic. Traditionally, ones suit length should not go past the last knuckle of ones thumb when the fingers are curled. As seen from the above video from Street Etiquette, the updated blazer is basically wrist-length. Men's fashion trends take a good five years to become mainstream since the fellows don't move as quickly as women when it comes to style. We mentioned the double breasted blazer over a year ago and had a classic example worn by a Harlem Renaissance icon but the look is still currently considered cutting edge for the guys: LINK. For more on the Street Etiquette style gurus check out our past post on the fashion duo who are often featured in GQ: LINK
