☞ INTRODUCING: The Apollo Exhibit at MCNY
February 8 through May 1, 2011. Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing: How the Apollo Theater Shaped American Entertainment. The Museum of the City of New York in East Harlem has been scheduled to be the first stop for a major exhibition on Harlem's iconic Apollo Theater. Amateur night relics of past performers such as Michael Jackson's fedora, James Brown's cape and Ella Fitgerald dress will be on hand along with videos, photographs and other artifacts.
