☞ LISTEN: Candlelight Carol Festival at Riverside

Sunday, December 19, at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., at the Church, 490 Riverside Drive (between 120th & 122nd Street), Morningside Heights. The darkened nave of the Riverside Church will be illuminated by candlelight of Riversiders at the Church's Annual Candlight Carol Festival. During the “Ritual of Light,” the Riverside Church Nave is darkened and Riversiders are encouraged to recognize in the candlelit faces of their neighbors the Light of Christ coming into the world. The Festival will also include a rainbow of Christmas music as five choirs—The Riverside Choir, Soloists, and Instrumentalists, The Riverside Chamber Singers, The Riverside Inspirational Choir, The Riverside Ringers and The Riverside Children’s Choir—come together for the program. There will be two preludes on the Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Carillon at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively.
