☞ DWELL: A Salon in West Harlem

When this week's Habitats section of the New York Times references Rodney Terich Leonard's West Harlem brownstone rental as a Salon, they basically are describing a space where like-minded folks celebrate art and not the type that one gets their hair done at. Mr. Leonard was raised in Alabama but has lived in West Harlem since 1994 and uses his 2,200-square-foot apartment to house a vast collection of African masks and contemporary artwork.  For those who want a contemporary aesthetic mixed in with traditional African art, this self-described life consultant is up for hire.  Read more details in the Times: LINK
