☞ DWELL: 379 West 125th Street on the Market
One of the old white-painted buildings at West 125th Street (just east of the Morningside Avenue) is currently up on the market and the selling price seems to be targeted for a developer. The 20 foot wide, 3-family, 4,872 square foot structure is one of the remaining low level buildings on the east side of Manhattanville's border before it transitions into Central Harlem. There is a pharmacy at the ground floor but not much else to merit the $6.9 million price except a possible demo-to-high-rise development. The lot is a little narrow for anything major unless someone decides to build one of those skinny towers. M & G Diner's former space is just two doors down and reportedly had some sort of conversion in mind during the prime of the market but not much has happened since as far as a new construction is concerned. With all that said, the one perk for the immediate area is that it is a block away from the express trains.

Lucrative neighborhood for real estate these days. May well see a condo development of some sort, especially since the existing supply along FDB is starting to sell out.
