☞ INTRODUCING: The Harlem Little League
The 23rd Annual Harlem Little League Opening Day Parade made their yearly march to kick off the season last week and some of the media was on hand to capture the scene (above photo from the Daily News). Kids from ages 5 to 16 participate in the local baseball teams that practice at various neighborhood parks uptown and almost 100 players marched in uniform to show their support. Paraders celebrated with the help of musicians and made their way from Marcus Garvey Park to the Harlem Armory at 142nd Street. Check out more details and photos in the Daily News: LINK. This is a great organization that depends on the support of the local community, especially for financial support.
