A reader pointed out that we seem to be obsessed with the final patio finishes to the Harlem Tavern and was able to help provide some clues by submitting a current photo of the new beer garden behind the walls at 116th and Frederick Douglass Boulevard.
The original renderings of the alfresco flooring had a very expensive looking herringbone brick pattern laid out and the concrete was just poured at the end of the week to get things started. Looking at the lower photo (click to enlarge), it appears that the concrete was set into panel sections that have been staggered for a more visually decorative layout. This looks pretty decent and may be the last design element to fall into place. As for the brick wall surrounding the eatery, it appears that too is all in order.
