☞ EAT: East Harlem Milk Burger vs Shake Shack

An article published by Serious Eats has been making the rounds because one newish East Harlem Burger joint's uncanny resemblance to the famous Shake Shack franchise.  Milk Burger at 2056 Second Avenue and East 105th Street apparently is Milk Lounge on some nights but doubles as a burger joint for most of the day.  Prices are a dollar cheaper than Shake Shack but everything from the grind of the meat, the seer on the patty and menu appears to be an exact replica of the downtown favorite.  Going beyond just the food review, Serious Eats also points out that the burger photos on the Milk Burger website are actually from photos taken for Shake Shack.  The link to the Milk Burger site now only has the above t-shirt up which says the server is down so maybe changes are being made at this point: LINK.  Read more of the food review at Serious Eats: LINK
