Saturday, July 23rd, 7:00 PM, Accept "Except" at the National Black Theatre, 2033 Fifth Avenue at 126th Street. The National Black Theatre's production of Accept “Except” is told through the meeting of two fugitives – one from the plantation era, the other from 2011 – the era or penitentiaries. The play addresses the issues of today’s high juvenile incarceration rates and the effects incarceration has on families and the community.
