☞ REVIVE: What's Up with 220 St. Nicholas Ave?

It has been half a year since we took a look at 220 St. Nicholas Avenue and it still appears not much has happened at the stalled South Harlem project.  Beyond resolving a few stop work orders back in November of last year, nothing new has been going on with the building at West 121st Street. This 10-story condo development started up back in 2009 and even tried to launch sales of 6 units last year but those have since been removed from the market according to Streeteasy: LINK.

One tipster mentioned that this was a first time developer who ran into finance issues when the market froze but hoped that things would move along since the adjacent FDB corridor's market started to pick up again earlier in the year: LINK.  Even though some buildings have sold out within the lower corridor in 2011, it appears that 220 St. Nicholas Avenue still has not attracted any interest or backers to help move the 12-unit project and ground floor retail development forward to date.

  1. Bizarre. From the look of things, the most difficult construction has already been completed. Hope they can get this thing past the final hurdle.
