☞ ARCHITECTURE: 2076 Fifth Avenue
Number 2076 Fifth Avenue at the corner of West 128th Street is another one of those apartment buildings that look like townhouses. Built as the final section of about a half dozen aesthetically similar townhouses at this border of Central Harlem, the building looks more like a castle than a typical brownstone. Looking up past permits, one will find that this used to be an SRO about a decade ago and has since been converted into a 3-family building with duplex layouts for several of the units.

Beautiful building. This area is coming up! High Five.
ReplyDeleteThese set of buildings were originally expected to part of the Harlem Hospital.
ReplyDeleteMy great grandfather purchased this lot in 1900... Is this the same building that stood there then, I wonder?
