A New York Daily News article catches up with the stalled opening of West Harlem's Floridita restaurant in its alternate location. The restaurant which was located on Broadway and 125th Street (top photo) had been shuttered almost 2 years ago to make way for the new Columbia Manhattanville campus but has failed to open further west on 12th Avenue. An issue with asbestos abatement in the Columbia owned relocation building has held things up for some time now and the blame has been pointed back at the university by the current owner of Floridita.
