☞ INTRODUCING: Red Tails Debuting on Friday

Friday, January 20th, Red Tails movie premier nationwide.  A lot of Harlem media organizations are rallying behind George Lucas' film loosely based on the true story of the Tuskagee pilots of World War II. The big budget film which retells the struggles and triumphs of one of the first group of African American servicemen who were inducted into a segregated U.S. Army Air Corps has historical and social merits but the film industry had no confidence in its production.

George Lucas' company had a hard time getting financial backing for this picture and has openly stated that Hollywood does not have faith in an all minority cast leading a big budget film so its success might be the barometer for future blockbuster features.  Red Tails also has a little to do with Harlem's history since some of uptown's sons have fought for the nation during this time period and politician Percy Sutton was part of the Tuskagee squadron. www.RedTails2012.com

  1. I am so pleased to support this movie about an incredible group of American heroes, who never lost a plane. I am privileged to have known two of these men who went on to accomplish great things in the fields of law and the corporate world, and to have created advertising highlighting their historic record. Please see this movie for Lee Archer, former Kraft Foods executive, and Milton Henry, attorney, activist and minister whose large accomplishments are too numerous to list. It looks exciting!
