☞ DRINK: Waiting for Cove Lounge
Cove Lounge at 325 Lenox Avenue was speeding along in its renovations but somehow the adjacent Lenox Social opened at a faster pace in the past weeks. A liquor license application has been in place for a few months now but not much is happening at the storefront by the corner of West 126th Street. Cove started its construction several months before Lenox Social appeared on the scene and we are assuming that some sort of legal paperwork might be holding up progress. Does anyone have any more tips on this new space?

Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing "Covo" not "Cove" when looking at this? Perhaps not the best name, right mateys? Yarrrrr!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this block is cursed, every new establishment seems to take forever or never materializes, the exception being Lenox Lounge which went from zero to success in record time. Maybe the management at Covo will be shamed into stepping up their game by the success of its neighbor Lenox Lounge. All the time the construction drags on, the rent still has to be paid with no revenue coming in.
ReplyDeleteI saw some workers working on the facade today so maybe the opening of Lenox Social has spurred the owners of Cove to complete it more quickly.
