☞ SHOP: Casa Latina on East 116th Street
In a recent New York Times article, Casa Latina was featured as a hidden gem of New York City that most guide books seem to leave out. Located at 151 East 116th Street, the Puerto Rican specialty store that sell vinyl, DVDs and CDs is one of the last establishments of its kind in a section of East Harlem that has become majority Mexican. This shop is apparently a treasure trover for lovers of Latin music so those interested in classic Puerto Rican sounds should check out this store which sets up shop just east of Lexington Avenue.
