Some public schools such as PS180 in South Harlem are actually performing quite well and parents are now concerned that the Department of Education's plans to increase enrollment might affect class size. The K-8 school facing Morningside Park at West 120th Street is 82% utilized according to the Department of Education and the goal is to add a few more classes but keep the student count in each under 30. Parents are still not convinced that this is the real story and fear that a possible increase in class sizes might decrease performance. Read more in the Daily News: LINK
