It has been well over a year since the Orbit space at the corner of East 116th Street and First Avenue shut down but it looks like more than a little activity has happened to the facade since then. We walked by this corner of East Harlem just a week a ago and found that the storefront was definitely being gutted from the inside out at 2257 First Avenue. Looking at the permit filed in the latter half of 2011, it appears that the renovations are for a drinking and eating establishment to arrive but it is unclear what the new business will be called. Does anyone have any tips?
