☞ EAT: Harlem Tavern Early Week Specials

The Harlem Tavern on West 116th Street became an instant hit with locals when it debuted last year because of some great planning. Not only does the outdoor restaurant have great moderate prices, a wide range of beers alongside a classic interior, the Tavern also tries to switch things up with weeknight specials and live jazz events.  Monday nights have a special Karaoke event, Tuesdays feature a lobster dinner for well under $20 and Wednesday offers up a Cajun menu with a live brass band.  It appears that the Harlem Tavern listened to what a lot of folks in the neighborhood had to say when we first announced of its forthcoming arrival.  Check out those comments in our past post: LINK

  1. Now I just hope they fix their service issues. It's a great location, the prices are reasonable, and the food is good enough, but it still takes forever to get a food or a drink. Do they need more servers? Maybe a change in their system? I always think the waitstaff is very nice, but it takes forever for therm to come to your table or check back to see if you need another drink. It's a shame. We tend to just go to Bier International.

  2. The food is reasonably priced but the beer is expensive-- everything on tap except Bud is at least $7 or $8. I don't know what it is about Harlem these days but that would be considered expensive for the Village or Midtown let alone Uptown.
