Walking by 2211 FDB/8th Avenue today, we noticed work being done on the retail space at the corner of 119th Street. Vinateria is set to open at this intersection but nothing has been happening since the announcement of the eatery's arrival this past spring. The new permits that have now been posted on the doors reveal that a kitchen, new plumbing and floors will be installed in the next coming month. Wine bars have not had a good track record uptown in the past but this will be the second one planned for the FDB corridor since a champagne bar is also set to open further down the boulevard:
