☞ SHOP: Ricky's Pop Up at Hue-Man Space
A tip came in that boxes from Ricky's had been seen arriving into the old Hue-Man bookstore shop in South Harlem and signs up on the windows today confirms that this indeed is the new tenant. Hue-Man was the only major bookstore in Harlem and had shuttered in the past months over by 124th Street at FDB/8th Avenue. Ricky's is the quirky downtown beauty shop but also has Halloween pop up shops appear throughout the city in early fall. The commercial space will be temporarily leased for the next few weeks but don't expect this arrival to be permanent.

Hooray! Welcome to the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteI think that's great! Every neighborhood has one of these pop up in the fall... It's about time Harlem gets one!
ReplyDeletePop-ups--what a good idea for rotating uses of the space. Ricky's has fun items.
ReplyDeleteThere has been a Ricky's popup every year in Harlem for quite sometime.
ReplyDeleteMy friend who works for Ricky's told me that they use the Hallowe'en pop-ups as a litmus test for whether a permanent store will work at the same location.
