☞ DRINK: Food Service Arrives at Harlem Public
Harlem Public has quickly become the favorite local hangout in Hamilton Heights and now the new bar has just introduced a full food menu. The drinking hole at 149th and Broadway serves up free popcorn all night but was waiting for the gas to be turned on before offering up pub bites. It's not quite a full service restaurant but one can now get a decent burger, fries or a side order of wings in various sauces with that craft brew. Harlem Public is one of the first businesses in West Harlem with that downtown feel to it and this fact has had the place packed every night of the week.

The peanut butter burger is great! And EXTREMELY peanut-buttery!
ReplyDeleteThis place is the best thing to happen to Harlem since Red Rooster. MORE MORE MORE places like this in Hamilton Heights! This place was completely crowded on Monday evening because residents are starved for nice bars and beer halls to go to.
ReplyDeleteOMG their burgers are the best you must get over to try them out
ReplyDeleteI've been twice and it has been jam packed both times with neighbors eager to have a good local. It's a shame it's not twice or three times as large. Let's hope it acts as inspiration to other business owners to either renovate and redirect or open new places.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, though, that I can't even imagine how much of a headache it is to open a bar/restaurant in NYC. I'm the kind of person that might be interested, but it seems impossible difficult.
