☞ SEE: WeDaPeoples Cabaret

Saturday, October 27th, 7:30PM, WeDaPeoples Cabaret at the Gatehouse, 150 Convent Avenue at 135th Street.  Doris Duke Award winner Marc Bamuthi Joseph curates a stellar interdisciplinary evening of dance, text, and music that traverses somewhere between early 20th century Harlem literary tradition and 25th century Afro-future musical projection. Anchored by pioneering DJ Rich Medina, Pulitzer finalist and Alpert Award Winner Eisa Davis, and mic rocker Queen GodIs, performances quickly turn stages into altars to soul music. All performers for WeDaPeoples look to the founder and inspiration for this annual event, Sekou Sundiata, whose inclusive vision and foresight impels us to imagine a new America, a new world, and invites us all to dream higher. General admission $20 and may be purchased at the Harlem Stage site: LINK
