☞ ARCHITECTURE: The Lions of West 148th
We are always looking out for interesting architectural details in the neighborhood and came across these green lions on West 148th Street. The prewar building was a recent condo conversion that apparently sold out and the developers did a great job in restoring the details. Lions appear to be a popular motif in Harlem but we have also found couple of griffins in the past: LINK
