Folks have been complaining about the diversity in ethnic food uptown for over a decade now and it appears that two new Indian eateries arriving in South Harlem will remedy that void in culinary choices. Over at 2113 FDB/8th Avenue, Maharaja Palace will open up apparently at the old Questan space by 114th Street. Mahraja apparently has another location in the city and the website can be found here:

A Bespoke tip sent in over the weekend shows that a modest storefront by at St. Nicholas and 112th Street also announces the debut of another Indian establishment. This appears to be more of takeout place based on the awning but at least more new minority businesses are making a move to start businesses in Harlem.
I wonder if this is the same Curry & Kabab that's currently at Amsterdam between 105th and 106th? http://www.curryandkababny.com/location.aspx
ReplyDeleteThat and Ajanta are the only Indian restaurants that deliver to me right now (and Indus Valley on a good day if they're feeling nice, even though we're out of their range).
