☞ EAT: Sandwiches at the Corner Social
We had time today to enjoy the weather and had lunch at the Corner Social on Lenox and was surprised at the quality of the sandwiches. The popular cafe on 126th Street is quite busy during the weekends but the week days are more relaxed and table easy to get at lunchtime.
Details such as the classic signage out front and the charming tin ceiling are a big draw to the tastefully planned space but the food is also on par with one's expectation for such an establishment. A buttermilk fried chicken sandwich that was served with fries was the best one we have had uptown but we went for the salad route to keep it a little healthy. This is a great business model for Harlem and 2013 will hopefully be the year were many more of such eateries establish themselves uptown.
