☞ BESPOKE: Samuelsson's Pattern Mix

While crossing 125th Street yesterday at Lenox Avenue, we noticed a camera crew coming at us with non other than Chef Marcus Samuelsson leading the way.  Interestingly enough, the local celebrity chef who lives in the Mount Morris Park Historic District, often plays with bold fashion statements and has adopted the printed pattern pant trend making its way into menswear. Plaids are slowly fading out of fashion for men but a 90s buffalo pattern has stuck around for 2013 and Chef Samuelsson has boldly mixed all of these elements together by walking down the street apparently in a custom apron.
This celebrity chef who has made Harlem his home in the past decade is probably the major new resident who has been the best ambassador to the world for the changing neighborhood.  Chef Samuelsson does not only promote the community in a positive light, the Swedish expat also engages the community and provides valuable jobs as featured in a recent Times piece: LINK
