We noticed that Toast on Broadway and 123rd Street just opened a chicken shack type of business just a bit further east on Amsterdam Avenue. Toast Chicken Bar specializes in all things chicken and the buttermilk fried offerings can be ordered a la carte (click on lower image to enlarge). All of the chicken on the menu is free range and hormone free so expect a better quality bird at this outpost. There is a take out shop just next door on this block between 122nd and 123rd so folks on the go can just drop by and pickup their orders. Based on the website, Brunch is also available on Sundays:

ReplyDeleteWe don't do carbs in the summer so it's nice just to get a leg and thigh order for just $5 which comes with seasoned salt, honey and pickles on the side.
