More than a few Bespoke readers have mentioned activity at the old storefront on the corner of 145th and St. Nicholas but only one has actually verified the chain that will arrive soon. We received a tip that the former hair salon that shuttered recently now have permits up that announces that the burger chain called Checkers will be debuting soon by this section of Hamilton Heights. The express train station is right at the corner so the location is prime but only chains appear to be proliferating in the area. Read more about the Checkers chain in our past post:

ReplyDeleteAvoid the unhealthy chain, and head over to the Grange Bar and Eatery on 141 and Amsterdam. Farm-fresh bistro food and locally owned and operated.
