☞ REVIVE: A Little Lavender on Lenox
The landmark buildings just south of 120th and Lenox are finally getting restored and we noticed an interesting color choice when we walked by recently. This is all within the Mount Morris Park Historic District so the developer probably had to research some of the old original paint colors by analyzing the various layers leftover from the past decades. Apparently a light lavender hue on the cornices is the most accurate option and lower Lenox Avenue will now have splash of color interest that has not been seen for some time.

So good to see the buildings lower Lenox being restored, I predict lower Lenox with it’s vast sidewalks and spectacular architecture will be one of the most photographed and admired streetscapes of Harlem. Much credit goes to the Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association.
