PS 157 was one of the first school-to-residential developments in Harlem and is now apparently looking for a community organization to rent the lower levels. This grand building on St. Nicholas Avenue by West 127th was one of the superior school houses built over a century ago with a romantic facade which looks like it belongs in Paris. PS 157 was converted to rentals with massive ceiling heights many years ago but the lower level has not been available to lease in some time. This could be great for the right organization since the express subway station is basically at the corner of the building. Click on photo for more details and contact info.
Fabulous! Love to see this gorgeous facade everyday and I was feeling sad for it being underutilized... Finally!
