Red Chili on 116th Street debuted this weekend just west of Lenox Avenue on the south side. We have not been able to drop by yet but from what we can see of the interior, this new addition to the South Harlem dining scene appears to be more festive and colorful in the fashion of the local Indian shops found further downtown. Just as some of the new offerings in the area started to seem like places only one would take one's parents to, it is refreshing to see a casual spot that is sort of in the middle and does not take itself too seriously.
