☞ READ: Citi Bike on Hold in Harlem
Community Board 10 set up a false alarm in announcing that Citi Bike will arrive in Harlem. It was announced that the popular rent-a-bike racks that are all over downtown will be arriving uptown but the media updated the story soon after the information leaked to announce the contrary. Apparently only additional regular bike racks for parking bikes are arriving in Harlem and not Citi Bike: LINK

Bicycle locking points will be a useful addition and may provide an alternative to damaging street trees with heavy bike chains.
ReplyDeleteThere are already some public bike parking racks in Harlem, like the one on the SE corner of 125 and Park.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't make much sense to put CitiBikes in Harlem without expanding up the UWS and UES first.
