☞ READ: The Fire on 145th Street
We walked by 145th Street between FDB and ACP on Sunday to check out the aftermath of the fire that raged on the north side from Friday evening until Saturday morning. The fire department had everything under control by Saturday but the block still smelled of ashes on Sunday morning. Apparently the beauty shop next door to the church caught on fire first and then spread to the church and the adjacent dollar store which were all part of the same construction. Only the front walls remain now so the entire section of the block will probably be torn down by this week. Luckily there were no casualties since the fire started in the night time.
