☞ REMEMBER: Riverview Court c. 1905
A photo from 1905 shows what some of the newly built apartment buildings first looked like on a freshly excavated block. Number 607-629 West 136th Street is located just west of Broadway and one can see the Hudson in the background but not much nature on the actual street level. Today Riverview Court still stands but there are now trees on the side street and some of the rounded cornice pediments have been dismantled.
