DWELL: 475 WEST 146TH STREET TOWNHOUSES
The modern townhouses just east of Amsterdam at 146th Street are just finishing up and we must admit they turned out better than expected. This set of 2-family homes are going for $2.5 million each and have some interesting cast iron detailing. Our main callout is that the roofline looks more like it belongs in the suburbs and they probably could have just saved more money by just designing one that went straight across with a modest cornice. More on the broker site (which has some pretty aweful illustrations up): LINK

Why aren't these selling? They've been on the market for a long time!
ReplyDeleteWell they haven't quite finished up yet and there has not been any solid renderings published. Maybe that has a little to do with it?
ReplyDeletelove the windows but the top does sing “Staten Island”
ReplyDeletePitched roofs are supposed to be better for rain and snow
