EAT: FRENCH PASTRIES AT LENOX SAPHIRE
One of our more discerning Bespoke readers mentioned they checked out the new Lenox Saphire at 127th Street on Lenox recently and had good things to say:
I had a chance to stop by at the new French Pâtisserie at Lenox Saphire and it truly has a Paris cafe feel to it and there bread and pastries are divine!!
Most Paris cafes do not have bamboo partitions out front but the food must be pretty good to get such high praises. We also like the amount of light in the new corner space which is an improvement from the enclosed lounge feel of the last Ambassades business that was set up at this part of upper Lenox. Has anyone tried Lenox Saphire yet?

The place is charming and the baguettes are good.
ReplyDeleteThrilled to have this on this corner. I love the other places on Lenox but it's nice to a have a place where you can just have a snack. And yes, despite the bamboo, it does have a Parisian flavor.
ReplyDeleteSubtle shade with the bamboo fence comment… love.
ReplyDeletedid anyone ever figure out why there is only one P in Saphire?
ReplyDeleteNo...but I am dying to know why! The missing P drives me crazy!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a place open late. We did try 2 pastries and did not like either. And on a Friday night the music blares from their side room. Might still try again for a late night place.
ReplyDeleteOne 'p' is the French spelling, mon amis.
