All of the new 23 karat gold signage has finished up over at Manhattanville Coffee by 142nd and Edgecombe. We have been following the soft opening of the cafe that has become an instant hit for this underserved part of the neighborhood and the designer details along with great coffee seems to be the major selling point here. Sandra Spanann works on some of the best shops or brownstones in the city and many of the new businesses uptown have kept it real by using the authentic metal leaf versus the fake stuff. For Manhattanville Coffee, a slightly updated look was chosen within the design and incorporates solid white elements to help the gilded artwork pop from afar.
